About The Windshield Co.
The Windshield Co. is a locally owned mobile auto glass company started in 2026. We post our starting prices, calibrate cameras in-house with a printed result, quote from a texted photo, and come to you in 10 cities with a lifetime workmanship warranty against leaks and wind noise for as long as you own the vehicle.
Who we are
We are a new auto glass company, started in 2026 by people who already run local service businesses in the Temecula Valley. We live here, drive I-15 and I-215 every day, and fix the same rock chips you do.
We are new, and we won't pretend otherwise. You won't see claims about decades in business or thousands of jobs on this site. What you will see is how we price, how we work, and what we promise, written down so you can hold us to it.
Why we started it
We kept hearing the same three complaints from friends, neighbors and our own customers.
- No straight price. Call around for a windshield and you often get "it depends" until someone has your insurance information. People just want a number.
- Calibration skipped or never explained. Most newer cars have a camera behind the mirror for lane assist and automatic braking. After a new windshield, that camera usually needs to be re-aimed. Too many drivers were never told, or were told it was done with nothing to show for it.
- Small mobile shops are hard to reach. Calls go to voicemail. Texts go unanswered. Appointments slide.
We thought a local company could fix all three by being plain about price, careful about calibration and quick to answer.
What we do differently
We post our prices. Windshield replacement starts at $279, or $549 with camera calibration included. Rock chip repair starts at $98. Every starting price is on our pricing page, along with what changes it.
We calibrate in-house and give you the printed result. If your car has a forward camera, we check the manufacturer's requirement by VIN, tell you before we start, calibrate it ourselves, and hand you the printout. Read more on our ADAS calibration page.
We quote from a photo. Text us a picture of the damage with your year, make and model or VIN, and we reply with a price. You can also use the quote form.
We come to you. Mobile service is included in Temecula, Murrieta, Menifee, French Valley, Winchester, Wildomar, Lake Elsinore, Canyon Lake, Hemet and Perris. See all service areas.
We stand behind the install. Every replacement carries our lifetime workmanship warranty against leaks and wind noise for as long as you own the vehicle. The details are on our warranty page.
We work with every insurer. You can pay with insurance or cash, and in California you choose the shop. We help with the claim either way. See insurance claims.
Our commitments to you
- You get a price before we start, and that price doesn't change unless you approve it.
- We match your glass by VIN, so the windshield fits your car's features.
- We tell you in writing whether your car needs camera calibration, and whether we did it.
- We tell you the safe drive-away time before we leave.
- We answer texts and calls during business hours (Mon–Sat 7am–7pm), and return messages left after hours.
- We will tell you when a chip can be repaired instead of replaced, even though repair costs less.
- If something about the install isn't right, we come back and fix it.
How to reach us
The fastest way is to text a photo of the damage to (951) 364-2300. You can also call, or visit our contact page.
Questions we hear a lot
When was The Windshield Co. started?
We opened in 2026. The company is new, but it was started by people who already run local service businesses in the Temecula Valley. We keep our claims to what we can show you: posted prices, printed calibration results and a written warranty.
Is The Windshield Co. locally owned?
Yes. The company is owned and run by people who live and work in the Temecula Valley. It is not a franchise or a national chain.
Why do you post prices when other glass shops don't?
Because the first thing most people want is a number. Posting starting prices lets you compare before you call. The exact price depends on your car's glass features, and we confirm it before any work starts.
Do you have a shop I can drive to?
No. We are mobile-only, so we come to your home or work. Most calibrations happen there too, and if your car's static calibration can't be done safely where it's parked, we tell you before we book and explain your options.
Cracked windshield? Get a price in a minute.
Text a photo or call. We'll tell you if it can be repaired, what it costs, and when we can be there.
