Where in Perris we come to you
Perris had 78,700 residents in the 2020 census, and it mixes older neighborhoods, new subdivisions and large industrial areas. We come to all of them.
- Downtown Perris, near the Perris–Downtown Metrolink station and State Route 74 as it passes through the center of town.
- Planned communities such as May Ranch, Villages of Avalon and Green Valley Ranch.
- The south end near Menifee, around the Perris–South Metrolink station. Commuters can book a repair at home before or after the train.
- Warehouses and distribution centers. Some of the city's biggest employers are distribution centers, including Lowe's and Home Depot, and Ross Stores is the largest employer. We can work in an employee lot during your shift if your site allows outside vendors. Ask security what they need from us.
- Homes near Lake Perris, which sits between Perris and Moreno Valley, and near the Lake Perris Fairgrounds.
- Mead Valley, the unincorporated community nearby. If your street is unpaved, tell us when you book.
Why windshields crack around Perris
In Perris, windshields get hit by truck traffic more than anything else. Interstate 215 runs through the city, and the warehouse and distribution business means a steady stream of semis on I-215, Ramona Expressway, Perris Boulevard and the roads between them. Following a loaded truck is the most common way a windshield gets chipped.
Truck routes here are a real issue. In 2022, Perris barred trucks on its side of Ethanac Road, and Menifee sued to keep the road a truck route. Wherever the trucks end up, the roads around them see more gravel and wear.
There is also a lot of construction. RCTC scheduled the Placentia Avenue interchange on I-215 for construction from 2020 to 2022 as the first piece of the Mid County Parkway, a planned 16-mile corridor between Perris and the Hemet Valley. Work on the Ramona Expressway part of that corridor is scheduled from April 2026 into 2028, with overnight closures and detours.
Perris also has long, hot summers, and in fall the dry Santa Ana winds carry dust across the valley. A small chip from the freeway can spread in one hot afternoon. See what to do about a rock chip.
What it costs in Perris
Our posted prices apply across Perris: chip repair from $98, windshield replacement from $279, and $549 with calibration. Prices updated November 2026. See pricing.
If you use insurance, glass is usually under comprehensive and you pay your deductible. Under California Insurance Code 758.5 your insurer cannot require you to use its preferred shop. If your deductible is higher than our price, paying directly may cost less. See how glass claims work.
Camera calibration in Perris
Most newer cars, and many newer delivery vans, have a forward camera behind the windshield. After a replacement, the manufacturer almost always calls for calibration. We check the VIN, tell you in writing before we start, and give you a printed result. For fleets, that record goes in the vehicle file.
