What do you need at my location?
A dry, reasonably level spot with room to open both front doors fully and walk around the car. That's it for most jobs. A driveway, garage, carport, office lot or street parking where it's legal and safe all work.
Please plan for:
- Space. About 3 feet on each side of the car so we can open the doors and lift the glass in and out.
- A dry surface. The new urethane must bond to clean, dry glass and metal.
- Level ground. Steep driveways make it harder to set the glass evenly. A flat spot nearby is fine.
- Keys. You don't need to stay with the car, but we need the keys at the start and a way to hand them back.
- A clear dashboard. Remove toll tags, parking stickers and dash cams you want to keep, or we'll set them aside.
No power outlet or water is needed. We bring what we use.
After a replacement, the car must sit until the safe drive-away time has passed. Plan for the car to stay parked where we worked for that time, and don't schedule a school run or commute right after.
Weather rules for mobile replacement
Rain is the main thing that stops a mobile replacement. Wind and cold can also force a change. Here is how we handle it:
| Condition | What we do |
|---|---|
| Active rain | No outdoor replacements. We move the appointment or work under a garage or carport. |
| High wind, such as Santa Ana days | Wind blows dust into the urethane and makes handling glass unsafe. We may reschedule. |
| Cold mornings | Urethane cures more slowly in cold, dry air, so the safe drive-away time gets longer. We tell you the exact time. |
| Summer heat over 100°F | We book early appointments when we can. Very hot glass and metal are harder to work and to handle safely. |
Chip repairs follow similar rules. The break must be dry, and we prefer shade. Read more about replacement in the rain and safe drive-away time.
Gated communities and HOAs
We can work in gated communities and HOA neighborhoods. We need gate access, so please give us a gate code, add us to your guest list, or meet us at the gate.
Some HOAs restrict work on vehicles in driveways or common areas. If yours does, a garage or a nearby lot usually works. Check your HOA's rules if you're unsure.
At your workplace
Many customers have the work done in the office parking lot while they're at their desk. Tell us where the car is parked, the color and plate, and how to get the keys to you after. If your lot has a security gate or parking structure, let us know about access and clearance.
At apartments and condos
Apartment lots work fine if we can park the van next to your car and open the doors. Covered parking helps on hot or rainy days. Some complexes don't allow vehicle work in the lot, so check with your property manager before booking. If needed, we can meet you at a nearby location.
When we may need to reschedule or adjust
Everything we do is mobile, including windshield replacement, chip repair, side windows and back glass.
Most camera calibrations happen right where your car is parked too. Dynamic calibrations are done by driving on nearby roads with clear lane markings. Static calibrations need a level, well-lit spot with room for targets at exact distances, so a flat driveway or parking lot works. If your vehicle's static calibration can't be done safely where it's parked, we tell you before we book and explain your options. Rain, strong wind or a steep, cramped spot can also mean moving the appointment. See ADAS calibration for details.
Is there a fee for mobile service?
