Auto glass questions and answers

Most questions we get are about price, insurance and calibration. Windshields start at $279, rock chip repair starts at $98, every insurer is accepted, and cars with a camera behind the mirror usually need calibration after a new windshield. Every answer we have is below.

ADAS Calibration

How do I know if my car has a windshield camera?

Look behind the rearview mirror from outside the car. A camera usually sits in a black-dotted area at the top center of the glass. Your VIN confirms it, and we check it before every job.

Is ADAS calibration required by California law?

No state law requires calibration itself; the automaker's repair procedure does. Starting January 1, 2027, California law requires glass shops to tell you whether calibration is called for and to give you the result in writing.

Can I skip calibration after a new windshield?

We do not recommend it. A camera that is slightly off can brake late, brake when it should not, or miss lane lines. If calibration is required and will not be done, industry installation standards say you must be told before the work starts.

Do I get proof that my camera was calibrated?

Yes. You get a printed result showing the procedure, the pre- and post-scan, and whether the calibration passed. Keep it with your service records for insurance or resale.

Does a wheel alignment require camera calibration?

Often, yes. Many automakers call for calibration after an alignment that changes the thrust angle, because the camera aims along the direction the car travels. Your VIN lookup shows the requirement for your model.

Why did my lane assist stop working after a windshield replacement?

Usually the camera has not been calibrated, or the calibration did not complete. Rain, a bracket problem or a stored fault code can also cause it. Call us and we will scan the car and find the cause.

Back Glass Replacement

Can a cracked back window be repaired?

Almost never. Back glass is tempered, so it shatters completely instead of cracking. The rare laminated rear window can crack, but replacement is still the usual fix.

Will my rear defroster work after back glass replacement?

Yes, if we install the correct glass with the defroster grid and reconnect the tabs. We match the part by VIN and test the defroster before we leave. A damaged wiring connector would be found and discussed first.

How long until I can drive after a new rear window?

It depends on how the glass is installed. Bonded glass needs a safe drive-away time from the urethane, often under an hour with fast-cure adhesives. Gasket-set glass can usually be driven right away.

Do you replace sliding rear windows on pickup trucks?

Yes. Most sliding truck windows are replaced as a full frame assembly. Send your year, make, model, cab style and whether the slider is manual or power.

Why did my back glass shatter on its own?

Usually a small chip or edge flaw weakened the tempered glass, and heat or a door slam released the stress. It can look spontaneous. Comprehensive insurance often covers it.

Fleet & Commercial

Can you replace windshields at our company yard?

Yes. We come to your yard, lot or job site and can work on several vehicles in one visit. We need a dry area with room to open doors and a contact who can hand over keys.

Do you offer monthly invoicing for fleets?

Monthly invoicing is available for approved accounts. Each job gets an itemized invoice with the VIN, unit number and work done.

Can a body shop sublet ADAS calibration to you?

Yes. We follow the factory procedure for the VIN, scan before and after, and give you a printed result for your repair file. Static calibrations need a level, paved spot with room for targets, which most yards have.

What windshield damage is allowed on a commercial truck?

Under 49 CFR 393.60, the area above the top of the steering wheel generally must be free of damage, with only narrow exceptions for certain small cracks and chips. Check the current regulation or your safety manager for specifics.

Why keep calibration records for each fleet vehicle?

They show the forward camera was calibrated to the automaker's procedure after glass work. If a vehicle is in a crash, that record helps answer liability questions. We tie each record to the VIN.

Insurance Claims

Can my insurance company make me use their glass shop?

No. California Insurance Code 758.5 says an insurer may not require you to use a specific shop. It can recommend one in limited cases, but once you choose a shop it may not suggest another.

What is a glass claim administrator?

A company some insurers hire to answer glass claim calls, open claims and schedule work. They may offer a shop from their network. You can still choose any shop you want.

Do I need a claim number before glass work starts?

Starting January 1, 2027, yes, for work paid by your own policy. Under SB 988 as signed, a shop cannot contract for that work until a claim is filed and it has a claim or referral number. Cash jobs do not need one.

Can a glass shop give me a gift card for filing a claim?

Not under California law starting in 2027. SB 988 bans cash, gift cards, rebates and other inducements for filing or directing a glass claim. We do not offer them.

What is the date of loss on a windshield claim?

It is the date the damage happened, such as the day a rock hit the glass. Your insurer asks for it to confirm your coverage was active. An approximate date is fine if you are not sure.

Should I pay cash instead of using insurance for my windshield?

If your comprehensive deductible is more than the job costs, paying cash is usually cheaper. If the job costs more, a claim usually saves money. We give you a cash quote so you can compare.

Mobile Windshield Service

Do I need to be home during a mobile windshield replacement?

No. We need the keys at the start and a way to return them when we finish. We text you when the job is done along with the safe drive-away time.

Can you replace a windshield in my apartment parking lot?

Usually yes, as long as we can park next to your car and open the doors. Some complexes do not allow vehicle work in their lots, so check with your property manager first. Covered parking helps on hot or rainy days.

What happens if it rains on my appointment day?

We will not replace glass outdoors in active rain. We either move the appointment or do the work under a garage, carport or parking structure. We will contact you before the appointment if the forecast looks wet.

How do you get into a gated community?

Give us your gate code, add us to the guest list, or meet us at the gate. If your HOA limits vehicle work in driveways, a garage or nearby lot usually works.

Is mobile glass work as good as doing it in a shop?

For the installation itself, yes, when the weather and space are right. The same urethane, tools and process are used. Static calibrations need a level spot with room for targets; if yours can't be done safely where the car is parked, we tell you before we book.

Rock Chip & Crack Repair

How big of a chip can be repaired?

As a rule of thumb, chips smaller than a quarter (about 1 inch) and single cracks up to about 6 inches. Location matters too: chips in the driver's line of sight or near the edge usually need replacement. Text us a photo with a coin next to it for a quick answer.

Will the chip disappear after repair?

It usually becomes much harder to see, but it may leave a faint mark. The resin restores strength and stops spreading, which is the main goal. Older chips filled with dirt tend to show more than fresh ones.

Should I put tape over a rock chip?

Yes, clear packing tape over the chip helps keep dirt and water out until it is repaired. Clean breaks fill better and look better afterward. Do not use glue or nail polish, which can block the resin.

Can a repaired chip still crack later?

It is uncommon, but it can happen if the break had hidden cracks or takes another hard hit. A properly filled chip is much less likely to spread than an open one. If a repaired chip does spread, the next step is usually a replacement.

How soon after a chip should I get it repaired?

As soon as you can, ideally within a few days. In valley heat a chip can turn into a long crack in one afternoon. The sooner it is filled, the cleaner and stronger the repair.

Do you charge more for several chips?

The first chip is $98 and each additional chip in the same visit is $25. If there are so many chips that the glass is weakened or hard to see through, we will tell you replacement is the better choice.

Side Window Replacement

How long does it take to replace a car door window?

About an hour for most cars, including removing the door panel and vacuuming out the broken glass. Laminated glass or a damaged regulator can add time. You can drive right away in most cases because door glass is not bonded with urethane.

Should I file a police report for a car break-in?

Yes, if anything was stolen or you plan to file an insurance claim. A report may help with a vandalism claim and creates a record. Many police departments accept online reports for property crimes.

Why does my car have laminated door glass?

Many newer cars use laminated front door glass to reduce cabin noise, block more UV and make break-ins harder. It cracks instead of shattering. We match the type your car was built with, based on your VIN.

Will I find glass in my car after the window is replaced?

Possibly a few small pieces. Tempered glass spreads into seat tracks and trim, and we vacuum thoroughly, but tiny cubes can hide. If you find more than a few, call us.

Why did my window drop into the door without breaking?

That is usually a failed regulator, cable or clip rather than the glass. The glass itself is often fine. Send us the make, model and year and a short video, and we will tell you whether new glass is needed.

Tesla & Specialty Glass

Does a Tesla need calibration after a windshield replacement?

Teslas typically recalibrate their cameras automatically over the first miles of driving. We confirm the camera bracket is seated correctly and check for warnings before we leave. If warnings stay on, some cases need Tesla service.

Why is my heads-up display blurry after a new windshield?

Usually the replacement glass does not have the correct wedge-shaped interlayer for HUD. Without it, the projected image doubles. The fix is the correct HUD windshield for your exact vehicle.

Is a Model 3 windshield the same as a Model Y windshield?

No. They are different parts, and versions can change within a model's production years. We order by VIN so the camera bracket, heating and acoustic features match.

Can a Tesla windshield be replaced at my house?

Usually yes, if there is a dry spot with room to open the doors. Large glass like the Model X windshield needs calm weather and extra handling, and we plan for it.

How do I know if my windshield is acoustic or heated?

Acoustic glass often has a small acoustic mark or symbol in the corner logo, and heated glass may show fine lines or a heated strip near the wipers. The VIN is the reliable way to tell, and we check it before ordering.

Windshield Replacement

How much does a windshield replacement cost?

Our replacements start at $279 for cars without a forward camera and $549 with calibration. These are starting prices. Your price depends on the vehicle, features such as heating or a heads-up display, and whether you choose aftermarket, OEM or tinted glass. Text us your VIN for an exact price.

How long does windshield replacement take?

About an hour for the install. Camera calibration adds roughly 30 minutes to about 3 hours depending on the vehicle and method. You also need to wait for the safe drive-away time before driving, which we tell you on site.

Can you replace my windshield at my house?

Yes. Mobile service is included anywhere in our service area. We need a dry spot with room to open the doors. Calibration usually happens there too, and if your car's static calibration can't be done safely where it's parked, we tell you before we book.

Will a new windshield leak?

It should not. Every install is covered by our lifetime workmanship warranty against leaks and wind noise for as long as you own the vehicle. If you notice a leak or wind noise, call us and we will fix it at no cost.

Do I need to stay with the car?

No. Leave the keys accessible and we will text you when the job is done and the drive-away time.

Can I wash my car after a new windshield?

Wait at least 24 hours before a car wash, and avoid high-pressure sprayers on the edges of the glass for a few days. Leave the retention tape on until the next day.

After Windshield Replacement Care

When can I remove the tape after a windshield replacement?

Leave it on until the next day, then peel it off slowly. If residue stays behind, a little warm water or glass cleaner removes it.

Why should I leave a window cracked after a new windshield?

Shutting a door with all windows closed pushes air pressure against the new glass. A window open about an inch lets that pressure escape while the adhesive cures.

Where should I put my FasTrak after a windshield replacement?

California allows toll transponders in a 5-inch square at the top center of the windshield. Riverside County Express Lanes instructions say to mount sticker tags behind the mirror, 2 to 4 inches below the top edge. Sticker tags break if moved, so you may need a replacement.

Is a urethane smell normal after a windshield install?

Yes. A mild chemical smell for a day or two is normal as the adhesive cures. Cracking a window helps it clear faster.

What should I do if my new windshield leaks?

Call the installer and note where the water appears. A leak usually means a gap in the seal, which should be fixed under the installation warranty. Don't try to seal it yourself, since that can make the proper fix harder.

California Motor Vehicle Glass Act (SB 988)

Does SB 988 make windshield replacement free?

No. The law doesn't change deductibles or require zero-deductible glass coverage. It sets disclosure, estimate, invoice and conduct rules for shops and insurers on insurance-paid glass work.

Does SB 988 require ADAS calibration after every windshield replacement?

Not directly. It requires the shop to tell you whether the automaker calls for calibration and whether the shop will do it or refer it out. Whether calibration is needed still depends on the manufacturer.

Can a glass shop still give me a gift card for using insurance in 2027?

No. Starting January 1, 2027, the law as signed bans rebates, gift cards, cash and other inducements for filing or directing a glass claim.

Can my insurer still pay the glass shop directly under SB 988?

Yes. The ban covers assignment of benefits, where you sign your policy rights over to the shop. You can still authorize the insurer to pay the shop directly.

Who enforces the California Motor Vehicle Glass Act?

According to reporting on the law, the state attorney general, a city attorney or county counsel can bring actions. Penalties are up to $500 for a first violation and up to $2,000 for each later one.

Cracked Windshield Law in California

Can I get a ticket for a cracked windshield in California?

Yes, if the damage impairs your view to the front or rear under Vehicle Code 26710. The officer can order repair within 48 hours and issue a notice to appear. A small chip outside your view usually doesn't meet that test.

How long do I have to fix a windshield after a repair order?

VC 26710 lets the officer direct you to fix it within 48 hours. You may need to show proof of repair to the court, so keep your invoice.

Is a cracked rear window illegal in California?

It can be. VC 26710 covers the rear window as well as the windshield if the damage impairs your view to the rear. A shattered rear window usually needs replacing right away anyway.

Is there a maximum crack length allowed in California?

No. California law uses an impaired-vision test, not a set length. Commercial vehicles also have to meet the federal rule in 49 CFR 393.60(c), which limits damage in the driver's viewing area.

Where can I legally mount a dashcam on my windshield in California?

VC 26708 allows a video event recorder, which the law describes as a device that can monitor driver performance, in a 7-inch square in the lower passenger corner, a 5-inch square in the lower driver corner outside the airbag zone, or a 5-inch square at the top center. Mounts that block your view elsewhere are not allowed. Check the code text for the conditions that apply to your device.

Insurance and Windshield Replacement

Does comprehensive or collision cover a cracked windshield?

Comprehensive covers glass damaged by rocks, weather, vandalism and other non-crash causes. Collision applies when the windshield broke in an accident. Either way you pay that coverage's deductible unless your policy says otherwise.

Do I pay a deductible for chip repair in California?

Often not, because many insurers waive the deductible for repairs. This is the insurer's policy, not a state law, so check your policy or call your insurer. If it is waived, the repair costs you nothing.

Can my insurance company choose my windshield shop?

No. California Insurance Code 758.5 bars insurers from requiring a specific shop. They can recommend one if you ask, but once you choose they may not push you to another shop.

Should I file a claim if my deductible is $500?

Compare it to the cash price. A car without a camera often costs less than $500 to replace, so cash may be cheaper. A camera-equipped windshield with calibration often costs more, so a claim may save money.

Where can I complain about a glass claim in California?

Complaints about how an insurer handled a claim go to the California Department of Insurance at 800-927-4357. Complaints about the repair work itself go to the Bureau of Automotive Repair.

OEM vs. Aftermarket Windshields

Is OEE glass the same as OEM glass?

OEE glass is made to match the OEM part's shape, fit and features and must meet the same federal standard, FMVSS 205. The difference is the brand on the glass and, sometimes, small differences in optics or fit between makers.

What does AS1 mean on a windshield?

AS1 is the glazing item code under the ANSI/SAE Z26.1 standard used for windshields. NHTSA has explained that windshield glazing passing those tests is marked AS-1. If you can't find AS1 on the label, ask the shop about the glass.

How can I tell if my windshield is original?

Look at the label in a lower corner. If it shows your automaker's logo, it's OEM glass. A glass maker's name and DOT code without the car logo means it was replaced with OEE or aftermarket glass.

Do I need OEM glass for a heads-up display?

Not always, but it is more likely. HUD windshields need a precise wedge layer, and a poor match can create a double image. We tell you when a non-OEM option is known to work for your car.

Does my insurance have to pay for an OEM windshield?

Only if your policy says so. Many policies pay for like kind and quality parts, which can mean OEE glass. Some offer OEM coverage as an option.

Repair or Replace a Windshield

Can a crack longer than 6 inches be repaired?

Usually not. As a rule of thumb, cracks over about 6 inches are replaced because a long repair is more likely to fail and leave visible distortion. A technician will judge the specific crack.

Can a chip in front of the driver be repaired?

Sometimes, but many technicians won't. A repair often leaves a faint mark that can distort your view right where you look at the road. Replacement is usually recommended for damage in the driver's direct view.

Why can't an edge crack be repaired?

Edge cracks weaken the glass where it bonds to the car. The windshield helps hold the roof up in a rollover and supports the passenger airbag, so edge damage is replaced.

Can a chip over the windshield camera be repaired?

It's usually not recommended. The resin and any leftover mark can affect what the camera sees. Replacing the glass and calibrating the camera is the safer fix.

How do I measure a windshield chip?

Hold a quarter over it. If the impact point and any cracks coming off it fit under the coin, it is usually repairable. Send us a photo with the coin in the frame and we can confirm.

Safe Drive-Away Time

What happens if I drive before the safe drive-away time?

The adhesive may not be strong enough to hold the windshield in a crash or to support the passenger airbag. In normal driving the glass may stay put, but it might not protect you if you crash. Waiting the stated time removes that risk.

Is safe drive-away time the same as full cure?

No. Drive-away time is when the bond is strong enough to meet federal crash standards. I-CAR notes urethane takes about 24 hours to reach full strength and longer to fully cure.

Why is my drive-away time longer on a cold morning?

Most glass urethanes cure by absorbing moisture from the air, and they react more slowly in cold or dry conditions. The adhesive maker's chart lists longer times for lower temperatures and humidity.

Why does my Jeep or Ram need to wait 24 hours?

I-CAR reports that FCA/Stellantis recommends 24 hours before releasing a vehicle after glass replacement. When an automaker's requirement is longer than the adhesive chart, the installer should follow the automaker.

Who decides the safe drive-away time?

The installer, based on the adhesive maker's chart for the conditions that day and any automaker requirement. Industry installation standards say the installer must tell you the time.

Static vs. Dynamic ADAS Calibration

Which is better, static or dynamic calibration?

Neither is better in general. The right method is the one your automaker specifies for your vehicle. Using the wrong method can leave the camera misaimed even if the scan tool shows no error.

Can dynamic calibration be done in the rain?

Often not well. The camera needs to see clear lane markings, and rain, spray and glare can stop the routine from finishing. We reschedule the drive when conditions won't let it complete.

Why does static calibration need a level floor?

The targets have to sit at an exact height and distance from the camera. A sloped or uneven surface changes the camera's angle relative to the targets and can lead to a wrong aim.

Does my car need calibration if no warning light is on?

It can. Many cameras don't show a warning when they are slightly off. The automaker's procedure for your VIN, not the dashboard, tells you whether calibration is required.

What should a calibration report show?

It should show the vehicle, the calibration method, the result, and the scans run before and after. Keep it with your invoice in case you need it for a warranty or insurance question.

Why Rock Chips Spread in Heat

Can a windshield crack from heat alone?

An undamaged windshield rarely cracks from heat alone. A chip or edge damage makes it much more likely, because the stress from uneven heating collects at the damaged spot.

Should I run the A/C if my windshield has a chip?

Yes, but ease into it. Start with the fan on low and the windows open, then increase once the cabin cools a bit. Blasting cold air onto a sun-baked windshield is a common way chips turn into cracks.

Is it safe to wash my car with a chipped windshield?

Wait until the glass is cool and the car is in the shade. Cold water on hot glass can spread a chip. Cover the chip with clear tape first so water and soap don't get into the break.

Why did my chip crack overnight?

Large day-night temperature swings put stress on the glass as it cools. A chip that sat in afternoon sun and then cooled quickly at night can crack without any other trigger.

Does a sunshade help protect a chipped windshield?

It helps. A sunshade keeps the inside of the cabin and the glass from getting as hot, which reduces the temperature swing when you start the car and turn on the A/C.

Windshield Replacement Cost

Why does a windshield with a camera cost so much more?

The glass itself has a camera bracket and often other features, and the camera has to be calibrated after install. AAA found the sensor and calibration work alone averaged $360 on its test vehicles. Calibration needs targets, a scan tool and time.

Is a heads-up display windshield more expensive?

Usually, yes. HUD windshields use a special laminate layer so the projected image stays sharp, and some vehicles project best on OEM glass. Expect a HUD windshield to price toward the upper end of the range for your vehicle.

Does mobile service cost extra?

Not with us. Our posted starting prices include coming to your home or work anywhere in our service area. Calibration usually happens where your car is parked too, and if yours can't be done safely there, we tell you before we book.

Should I choose the cheapest windshield quote?

Only if it includes the same things as the others. Check that it lists the correct glass for your VIN, calibration if your car has a camera, and a safe drive-away time. A quote that skips calibration is not comparable to one that includes it.

How do I get an exact windshield price?

Send your VIN and a photo of the damage. The VIN shows which glass your car was built with, so the price reflects your actual options. We reply with an itemized quote.

Windshield Replacement in Rain

Will my windshield appointment be canceled if it rains?

Not necessarily. If you have a garage, carport or covered parking, we can usually work there. If not, we move the appointment to a dry time.

Does humid weather slow down urethane curing?

No, the opposite. Most glass urethanes cure by absorbing moisture from the air, so humid air speeds curing. Water on the bonding surfaces is what causes problems.

Can Santa Ana winds delay a windshield replacement?

Yes. Strong gusts make it hard to set the glass safely and blow dust onto the fresh adhesive. The very dry air can also lengthen the drive-away time.

Is it safe to replace a windshield in a garage?

Yes, and it's often ideal. A garage keeps the surfaces dry and dust-free. We need enough room to open both front doors and walk around the front of the car.

What if it starts raining after my windshield is installed?

Rain on the outside of the glass after the install is fine. The bond is already in place and the moldings keep water off it. Just wait the stated drive-away time before driving.

Zero-Deductible Glass Coverage in California

Do I have to pay a deductible for a windshield in California?

Usually, yes. California has no zero-deductible glass law, so you pay your comprehensive deductible unless your policy includes full glass coverage or a glass deductible waiver.

What is a full glass endorsement?

It is optional coverage some insurers sell that lowers or removes the deductible for glass-only claims. Terms and prices vary by insurer. Look for a glass line on your declarations page.

Which states have zero-deductible windshield laws?

Florida and Kentucky have statutes that waive the deductible for glass claims when you carry comprehensive coverage. South Carolina has long done the same, though a 2026 bill proposed making it optional. California is not one of them.

Does SB 988 make windshields free in California?

No. The Motor Vehicle Glass Act sets rules for estimates, ADAS disclosures, inducements and insurer conduct starting in 2027. It does not change deductibles.

Can I add glass coverage after my windshield cracks?

Coverage added after damage generally won't pay for damage that already happened. Ask your insurer about its rules before relying on a new endorsement for an existing crack.

Canyon Lake

Can you get into Canyon Lake's gates?

Yes, once you add us as a guest through the POA's guest system. We show a driver's license at the gate and use the East or North Gate, since commercial vehicles are not allowed through the Main Gate.

Which Canyon Lake gate will your van use?

The East Gate off Goetz Road or the North Gate off Greenwald Avenue, whichever is closer to your home. The Main Gate on Railroad Canyon Road does not allow commercial or oversized vehicles.

Can you replace my windshield in Canyon Lake on the Fourth of July?

Service provider access is restricted on Independence Day and several other holidays. You can register us as a temporary guest for that day, but booking the day before or after is usually easier.

Is there a gate fee or extra charge for coming inside Canyon Lake?

We do not add a charge for gated access. Mobile service is included at our posted prices, the same as anywhere else we serve.

French Valley

My address says Murrieta but I live in French Valley. Do you still come out?

Yes. Many French Valley homes use a Murrieta 92563 or Winchester 92596 mailing address because French Valley is unincorporated. We go by where the car is, and the price is the same.

Is French Valley a city?

No. French Valley is an unincorporated census-designated place in Riverside County. The county, not a city government, handles roads and services there. For auto glass it makes no difference: we come to you at our posted prices.

Can you replace my windshield near French Valley Airport?

Yes. We work at homes and businesses all along Winchester Road, including near the airport. We need a dry spot with room to open both front doors.

My HOA in French Valley restricts work trucks on the street. How do you handle that?

Tell us when you book. We can park in your driveway or a guest space, or do the work in your garage if there is room. The job usually takes about an hour plus calibration.

Hemet

Can you replace a windshield in a Hemet mobile home park?

Yes. We need a spot beside the car with room to open both front doors and no rain. Some parks like a heads-up about service vehicles, so check with your park office if you are not sure.

Do you come to Seven Hills and Four Seasons in Hemet?

Yes. We work in 55-and-over communities across Hemet, including Seven Hills, Four Seasons at Hemet and Solera Diamond Valley. If there is a gate, add us as a guest when you book.

Do you serve East Hemet and Valle Vista?

Yes. Both are unincorporated communities just east of Hemet along State Route 74, and we come to them at the same posted prices.

Is it too hot in Hemet in August to replace a windshield?

No, but we prefer shade or a garage on very hot afternoons, and morning appointments work best.

Can I call instead of texting a photo for a quote in Hemet?

Yes. Call (951) 364-2300 and we will ask for your year, make and model, and VIN if you have it, plus a description of the damage. A photo helps, but it is not required to get a price.

Lake Elsinore

Can you replace a windshield on a steep street in Country Club Heights?

Usually, yes, if there is a fairly level spot such as a driveway or a flat section of curb. On very steep streets we may ask to meet you at a nearby level spot so the glass sets evenly.

Do you serve Tuscany Hills, Canyon Hills and Rosetta Canyon?

Yes. All three are in the Lake Elsinore Hills district east of I-15 and get our standard posted prices. If your HOA has parking or gate rules, send them with your booking.

My tow truck got a rock chip on the Ortega Highway. Can you fix it before my next lake weekend?

Most chips smaller than a quarter can be repaired in about 30 minutes at your home. Text us a photo and we will tell you whether it can be repaired or needs a new windshield.

Do you come to Lakeland Village, outside Lake Elsinore city limits?

Yes. Lakeland Village is an unincorporated community next to the city, and we serve it the same way at the same prices.

Can you do the work at the Outlets at Lake Elsinore while I shop?

Usually, yes. Park in a space with room to open both front doors, leave the keys accessible, and we will text you when it is done and when it is safe to drive.

Menifee

Do you come to Menifee's Sun City neighborhood?

Yes. Sun City is part of Menifee and gets the same prices and mobile service. A driveway, carport or the open space beside a garage works well. Weekday mornings are a good time to book if you want to avoid afternoon heat.

I live on a dirt road in Quail Valley. Can you still replace my windshield at home?

Usually, yes. We need a firm, fairly level spot with room to open both front doors, and no rain. If the street gets muddy or rutted, we can meet you on the nearest paved road instead.

Do you serve Audie Murphy Ranch and Menifee Lakes?

Yes, both. Most homes there have a driveway that works fine for a replacement. If your street has guest parking rules, let us know and we will park where the HOA allows.

Is Romoland part of your Menifee service area?

Yes. Romoland is inside Menifee city limits along State Route 74, and we come to homes and businesses there at no extra charge.

Can you fix a windshield at my work on Newport Road?

Yes, if the lot allows it and the car is in a space where we can open both front doors. Leave the keys accessible and we will text you when it is done and when it is safe to drive.

Murrieta

Do you come into guard-gated or call-box neighborhoods in Murrieta, such as around Bear Creek?

Yes. Add us to your guest list or send the gate instructions when you book. If someone has to let us in, we text you when we are a few minutes out.

Is pricing different in Murrieta's 92563 ZIP code than in 92562?

No. Murrieta Hot Springs, Copper Canyon, Spencer's Crossing and the rest of the city get the same posted prices in either ZIP code. Mobile service is included.

Can you replace my windshield at Murrieta Town Square while I am at work?

Usually, yes, if the lot allows it and we have room to open both front doors. Leave the keys accessible, and we will text you the drive-away time when the job is done.

Do I need calibration after a windshield replacement on a car I commute on I-15 with?

If the car has a forward camera for lane keeping or auto braking, the automaker almost always requires calibration. Those systems matter most in the stop-and-go traffic near the I-15/I-215 junction. We confirm it from your VIN and give you a printed result.

Perris

Can you replace my windshield in the employee lot at a Perris warehouse during my shift?

Often, yes, if the site allows outside vendors in the lot. Ask security what they require, then tell us the building and lot when you book. Leave the keys accessible and we will text you when the car is ready.

Do you replace glass on delivery vans and box trucks based in Perris?

Yes. We work on fleet vans, trucks and company cars on site and can do several vehicles in one visit. Text a list of VINs for pricing.

Temecula

Do you cover Redhawk and Vail Ranch, or only central Temecula?

Can you replace my windshield in a parking lot in Old Town Temecula?

Usually, yes. We need a legal space with room to open both front doors and no active rain. Busy weekend street parking in Old Town can be tight, so a lot or a weekday appointment tends to work better.

I got a chip in I-15 traffic near the 215 junction. Should I fix it right away?

Yes, within a few days if you can. Temecula afternoons in summer average in the mid to high 90s, and heat plus A/C is the most common reason a chip spreads into a crack. Most chips smaller than a quarter can be repaired in about 30 minutes.

Will the SR-79 realignment construction mean more windshield damage in Winchester?

Construction zones usually mean more loose gravel and more trucks, so it is likely. As of August 2026, construction on the Winchester segment was listed for 2029 to 2031. Fixing chips early is the cheapest protection.
