Every price is a starting price
The prices on this site are where a job starts, not a fixed price for every car. Every vehicle and every job is different. Your price depends on the glass your car was built with, the features in it, and which type of glass you choose. We quote your exact price before any work starts, and nothing happens until you approve it.
What is included in every price?
Every starting price below covers the whole job, not just the glass. There is no separate trip fee or disposal fee.
- Mobile service anywhere in our 10 service cities, at your home or work
- Removal and disposal of the old glass and broken pieces
- New moldings when your vehicle requires them, instead of reusing worn or one-time-use trim
- VIN glass match, so the windshield has the right tint band, brackets and features for your car
- Camera calibration when the price says it's included, with a printed result
- Our lifetime workmanship warranty against leaks and wind noise for as long as you own the vehicle, covered on our warranty page

What changes the price of a windshield?
The starting price is for a common car with a standard windshield. Features built into the glass raise the cost because the part costs more and the work takes longer.
| Feature | Why it costs more |
|---|---|
| Forward camera (lane assist, auto braking) | Camera bracket in the glass, plus calibration after install |
| Heads-up display (HUD) | Special glass layer so the projected image doesn't double |
| Heated wiper area or heated glass | Heating elements built into the windshield |
| Acoustic glass | Sound-dampening layer for a quieter cabin |
| Rain or light sensor | Sensor mount and gel pad |
| Luxury cars and EVs | Larger or specialty glass, more trim, sometimes OEM-only parts |
For reference, industry guides put a standard windshield at $250 to $600 in 2025 and 2026, and a camera-equipped windshield with calibration at $800 to $1,500 or more. AAA's 2023 study found an average of about $1,440 for a windshield with calibration. Our cost guide explains more.
Which glass can I choose?
You choose the glass, and that choice changes the price. When more than one type is made for your car, we quote each option so you can compare.
| Glass choice | What it is | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Aftermarket (OEE) | Made by a glass manufacturer to fit your car, meeting the same federal safety standards as factory glass | Lowest price |
| OEM (dealer brand) | The factory-brand part with the automaker's logo, like the glass your car was built with | Costs more |
| Tinted, solar or acoustic options | Extra solar tint, heat-reflecting or sound-dampening glass, where your vehicle offers it | Costs more |
Some cars, especially with a heads-up display or certain cameras, work best with OEM glass, and we'll tell you when that's the case. See OEM vs. aftermarket windshields.
How do I get my exact price?
Send us your VIN. It tells us the exact glass your car was built with. Text it to (951) 364-2300 with a photo of the damage, or use the quote form. Tell us which glass you'd like, or ask us to quote each option. We send your exact price before any work, and we only start once you approve it.
Should I use insurance or pay cash?
Use whichever costs you less. Glass damage is usually covered under the comprehensive part of your auto policy, and you pay your comprehensive deductible.
- If your deductible is higher than our price, paying cash is usually cheaper and keeps a claim off your record.
- If your deductible is lower than our price, insurance usually makes sense.
- If you have optional full-glass coverage, your share may be nothing. California doesn't require insurers to offer this, so check your policy.
We accept every insurance company and help you file the claim. In California, you choose the shop. Read how glass claims work or whether insurance covers your windshield.
How can I pay?
We take card or cash. For insurance jobs, you pay your deductible and the insurer pays the rest.
Why do we post our prices?
Because you should be able to compare before you call. Many glass shops won't give a number until they have your insurance details. We think a starting price, a plain list of what changes it, and an exact quote you approve before work starts is the fairer way to do business.
Questions we hear a lot
Are there hidden fees on top of your posted prices?
No. Mobile service, glass disposal, required moldings and the warranty are included. If your car's features or the glass you choose change the price, we tell you and confirm the total before any work starts.
Why does a windshield with a camera cost more?
The glass has a bracket for the camera, and the camera usually needs calibration after install so lane assist and automatic braking aim correctly. Our camera-equipped price of $549 already includes that calibration.
Is it cheaper to pay cash than use insurance?
It is when your comprehensive deductible is higher than the repair price. Compare your deductible with your quote, and if the quote is lower, paying cash costs you less. We can help you compare.
What payment methods do you accept?
Card or cash. On insurance jobs you pay only your deductible, and the insurer pays the rest.
How much does it cost to repair a second rock chip?
The first chip starts at $98, and each additional chip repaired on the same visit is $25. Fixing them together saves a second trip.
